Noooo, you didn’t just now! No, really, I have the results on my wall. Makes me smile like a dork everytime I see them. Plus. I just noticed a couple days ago that out of the five dates with the certain dream date of mine, I spelled his name wrong once! The shame! How hard can it be to write one’s name correctly with only four letters?! :D
And yes, it’s pretty. I’m petting it as I’m falling asleep today. I like it so much that the style is horizontal and not this typical vertical thing. Makes it cute.
This happens to me regularly as well on public transit. People are creepy and don’t respect boundaries, don’t feel the need to be nice to them.
Thanks for the kind words. These kind of situations are like being between a rock and a hard place to me, since I feel bad for these kind of people, as they are usually very old. In this case he was way too creepy for me to feel that bad, but there are times when I can sense that they are really lonely and just wish to have someone to talk to, even just for a second. So I try to be polite, even to the kind of rude ones. But my way of polite usually sounds really… rude in my own ears (also), since I feel the need to help these people somehow but am, at the same time, very irritated of my lone time being disturbed. Phew, life is hard even if it shouldn’t be. :’D
You’re not the only one! And as I usually wear my (big!) headphones, it just doubles the annoyance when someone tries to talk. Especially gross old men.

I totally agree on the complimenting more thing. I don’t think it’s a very “Finnish” way, to compliment people so boldly, and that’s sad. I myself am really used to it on my behalf, I have no idea why it’s so easy for me, though. I just like the delighted confusion it brings out of the people I’ve just complimented. I think that if the sudden complimenting was very common, the outcome would be different. It’s a pity, though. People here seem to think somehow badly about themselves even if it wasn’t the case at all! The reaction is just adorable to me, like the compliment really meant something to them.
I think only once in my lifetime a new acquaintance has blurted out something like that to me (she said: “You’re nice!”) and it was so, so nice. I really wish people’d be more comfortable with giving out compliments.
